The benefits of 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘®
A concentrated multi-action formula using the latest scientific knowledge in probiotic and prebiotic research. Designed specifically to assist digestive health and function, hindgut microbiota, activity of the lower small bowel and hindgut to benefit fiber and starch digestion and naturally help hindgut function and acid balance without use of artificial buffers.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® has been proven in extensive research trials involving more than 100 horses over 3 years to help all types, breeds, and ages, especially those with poor hindgut health.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® is safe for those suffering from poor feed conversion, digestive sensitivities including intermittent diarrhoea or even long term scouring regardless of age, diet and exercise levels.
The concentrated formula is safe for those with digestive sensitivities caused by mycotoxins and toxic substances produced by moulds in grass, grain and hay sources.
A more efficient gastro-intestinal system is crucial for those with digestive challenges including feed or grass sensitivity, lack of pasture access, scouring, intermittent loose or acidic ‘cow pat’ manure.
These horses may show irritability, poor manure formation, bloated, gassy problems or be a ‘poor doer’ or hard keeper type.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® is a premium probiotic and prebiotic supplement which can be given to all horses at a maintenance dose for hindgut health and digestive function.
Horses with poor hindgut function which may lead to passing undigested feed, ‘gassy’ bowels, passing smelly gas or manure, ‘rumbling’ tummies and recurring mild colic symptoms.
Scouring horses or those with intermittent loose manure with digestive sensitivities especially after sudden feed changes.
Performance horses on high grain and starch diets are at risk of hindgut acidosis or acid imbalance causing acidic ‘sour’ manure, ‘cow pat’ droppings or the passing of poorly digested grain.
Aged horses slow to recover after winter or those which often lose condition in hard times due to reduced digestive efficiency.
Horses with a lack of pasture access and fed a predominately hay diet to reduce feed amounts and increase the digestion of roughages.
Horses with hindgut microbiota disturbances that lead to long term diarrhoea or chronic anal dribble.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® has a comprehensive and multi-action approach to improving digestive function and the microbiome balance, activity and health of the gastro-intestinal system, especially the hindgut, in all horses.
The probiotics include highly researched live yeasts plus bacteria providing highly concentrated (18 Billion CFU per maintenance dose) and have a role in reducing hindgut acidosis without artificial buffers.
With 10x more probiotics per dose compared to leading competitor ‘probiotics’ and especially formulated for horses, and NOT for all types of other animals too.
Acid imbalance in the hindgut can cause serious problems, including acidic build up, hindgut ulcers or ‘cow-pat’ manure. Hindgut starch overload is not uncommon in horses consuming high starch diets.
Specific live yeasts help digestion of fiber sources to maintain condition in ‘hard keeper’ or ‘poor-doer’ horses.
Includes multiple prebiotics to feed ‘good bacteria’ populations to positively influence the hindgut microbiota. These prebiotics have been shown to help horses adapt to new diets, especially after sudden feed changes and improve conversion of feed to energy in horses with inefficient digestive function.
Active Yeast Components are specially purified parts of the yeast cell designed to block attachment of infectious ‘bad’ bacteria to the hindgut lining and the action of pathogens in the hindgut. The combination of these Active Yeast Components may reduce scouring or loose manure in horses with poor hindgut microbiota balance, especially following antibiotic therapy and anti-inflammatory compounds, such as ‘bute’.
Purified nucleotides may benefit digestive function and assist to regenerate the gastro-intestinal lining of the stomach, small intestine (foregut) and the hindgut.
The functional fibers are a special blend of digestible and indigestible fibers designed to stimulate important areas of the gastro-intestinal tract for improved function to regulate food passage through the digestive system. Optimizing the working of the hindgut is an important process in healthy manure production and general efficient digestion.
A broad-spectrum approach using specially selected ingredients to not absorb or impair the intake of other feed nutrients, such as vitamins.
Assist cells lining the digestive system by providing a natural source of energy to optimize digestive activity and maintain normal barrier function.
Assisting mucin production in the stomach and small intestine.
Many horses, including resting horses as well as performance horses, suffer from stomach acid irritation which may lead to gastric ulcers in their stomach and small intestine.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® is safe when given concurrently with any ulcer treatment.
Gastro-Coat® and 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® are also highly compatible and generally work in different areas of the digestive system, so can be fed each day to highly sensitive or digestively challenged horses.
Gastro Coat® and 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® are two different supplements with separate focus areas but provide a complementary and targeted action with different active ingredients that have specific separate actions.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® and Gastro-Coat® are also fed in different ways and times – 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® is perfect as a supplement in the horses’ normal feed daily, whereas Gastro-Coat® is often given as a pre-exercise supplement before ridden work or travelling, in a small feed or an oil paste.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® is particularly beneficial to poor ‘doers’ or hard keepers and aged horses which often require more food to maintain adequate condition and weight.
Providing a daily dose of 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® to these types of horses to maintain condition may reduce the need for excessive hard feeds or extra hay.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® is very suitable and helpful for good doer or easy keeper horses and ponies. In good-doer horses, 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® has been trialed and tested with many sugar-sensitive horses, even laminitic or insulin resistant ponies, as a safe and helpful supplement.
Although 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® helps put on weight and keep normal condition in poor doers, it doesn’t do the same for good doers which can be considered to already have ‘maximum yield’ capacity from hindgut digestion.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® does not contain any banned substances or contravene the Rules of Racing or FEI Competition.
𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® does not swab and is completely legal to be used with all performance horses in FEI competitions.
For use in racehorses, we recommend that you follow local guidelines on use of any supplements prior to race day.
Each scoopful LARGE END of 𝐅𝐀𝐁𝐁𝐘® provides 30 grams, each scoopful SMALL END provides 12 grams.
For horses with serious digestive inability, loose manure or scouring problems, provide between 60 – 120 grams daily for 2 – 6 weeks, or as required.
For ponies, provide 30 – 60 grams.
After the initial period, most horses can be reduced to the maintenance supplementation rate of 30 grams, or 12 grams for a pony.
For a daily premium digestive supplement, the normal supplementation rate is 30 grams for horses or 12 grams for ponies in their daily feed.
Can be crushed to a fine powder for oral administration via syringe or tube. Safe for foals.
