Supplies alkaline PH which may provide temporary relief of sour stomach
• Known to assist relief of sour stomach as a result of acid ingestion
• May decrease acidity in working muscles when training for long periods
• Alkaline may assist by temporarily neutralizing some stomach acid
• Often used to assist horses in training with RER (tying up)
Dose rates are variable. Contraindications:
Reported as a performance enhancing antacid and may present a positive swab when tested.
Feed rates are variable. Can be combined with sugar and water.
