Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) plays an important role in supporting overall equine health, particularly during times of stress or increased demand.
• Supports immune system function
• Aids muscle recovery and reduces oxidative stress
• Supports collagen formation for joints, tendons, ligaments, skin, and blood vessels
• Assists iron utilisation and healthy circulation
• Helpful during travel, competition, illness, injury, or recovery
While horses naturally produce Vitamin C in the liver from glucose, supplementation may be beneficial when natural production is reduced.
